Final 5 Pitch Event

(February 9, 2017) 

 

The final 5 presentations, announced on December 9th, will pitch their presentations to a panel of entrepreneurs, CEOs and global Jewish leaders at Innovation Loft in New York City. The winning proposal will receive up to $5,000 to implement the idea on campus in the Spring Semester. 

Top 10 Presentations

(Announced Nov. 23rd) 

 

The top 10 proposals will be announced on November 23rd and will be interviewed as a second round of the competition. Following the interview stage, 5 proposals will be chosen by December 9th for the February pitch event.

Each student or group of students in the top 5 will be mentored by a member of the World Jewish Congress – program to help materialize the idea, build a presentation of their plan and to perfect their pitch.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Jewish Diplomatic Corps is the flagship program of the World Jewish Congress, in line with the organization’s key mission to develop the next generation of Jewish leaders. Through the Jewish Diplomatic Corps, the World Jewish Congress has been successful in fostering a core group of young professionals who are provided an opportunity to engage in diplomatic activities with diplomats, government officials and international organizations worldwide and participate in World Jewish Congress events and activities, as well as attend high level meetings. The Jewish Diplomatic Corps now comprises a cadre of some 130 professionals aged 27 to 45, from more than 30 countries.

 

 

Proposal Description

(Due Nov. 15th)

 

For the first round of the grant competition, please click the button below to fill out a short Google form in which you will be asked to summarize your idea, strategy or event for your college campus in 3-4 paragraphs.

 

A strong proposal will include an inter-community aspect, in which a different group on campus is engaged through the implemented plan. Proposals should be focused on one or several of the following themes: Israel, Judaism, combating Antisemitism or anti-Israel sentiment on campus.

 

All students that submit their proposal will be automatically entered to win a ticket to the Consulate's annual Yom Haatzmaut Gala at Chelsea Piers.
