The campus proposal initiative offers students in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Delaware, a chance to win up to $5,000 to implement their idea on campus in the Spring Semester. 

Campus Pitch Initiative

The Consulate General of Israel in New York and the World Jewish Congress invite university students in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Delaware to pitch their idea for a campus event, strategy or initiative that takes a new approach to Israel, antisemitism or intercommunity/faith relations. All students that submit their proposal will be automatically entered for a ticket to the Consulate's annual Yom Haatzmaut Gala at Chelsea Piers. 

 

Following the proposal stage, the top 10 students will be selected for interviews at the World Jewish Congress. The final 5 proposals chosen will pitch in-person to a panel of entrepreneurs, CEOs and global Jewish leaders in February, 2017. The winning proposal will receive up to $5,000 to implement the idea on campus in the Spring Semester along with resources from the Consulate and World Jewish Congress.

Important dates

November 15, 2016- First round of proposals are due (tell us your idea here)

 

November 23, 2016- Top ten proposals chosen to move onto the next round, where students will be interviewed at the World Jewish Congress

December 9, 2016- Final 5 proposals announced. The final proposals will pitch their idea to a panel of entrepreneurs, CEOs and global Jewish leaders in NYC.

 

February 9, 2017- Pitch event with a young professional happy hour hosted at Innovation Loft for the top 5 presentations. The winning proposal must be implemented in the Spring semester.
